Time and TV

TV. We all love TV and some a little more than others. I am often shocked when I calculate the amount of time I have wasted in front of the TV over the years, even if only an hour a night, it all adds up. I hour a night, equals 365 hours in a year, which amounts to 15 days......you can get quite a lot done in 15 days don't you think? So, don't waste time in front of the the box...isn't there something else you could be doing?

I am so happy for my mate Ugly Guy. Finally he has something to do as he has been invited to a party. Maybe he is not so flawed after all.

I hate to admit it, but sometimes (just sometimes) when the punch line is delivered, I just don’t get the joke. Everyone burst out laughing and what do I do? Laugh along with them of course!

I only hope if it happens again I don’t get one of those honest souls sitting next to me that asks,

“ I didn’t get it. Can you explain it to me?”

Well it looks like the joke is on me as I posted so late that the topic has already changed....better get drawing for the theme HOARD and try to post in time this week.

I had lots of fun doing this image and wanted to take it a lot further and have the men grow with horrid side effects because she had not followed the correct instructions, but I think there is enough in this drawing already. Maybe an idea for my next drawing.

I drew this all by hand and then coloured it in photoshop and learnt so may new techniques in the process.

IF Multiple

Here is my entry for this Illustration Friday's theme 'Multiple'. I drew the first thing that came to mind, which was a multiple birth, well not the actual birth of course - multiple motherhood - and very proud of her brood she is!!

.....and this is another drawing I did a while ago that I guess can also be to used for this week so I am posting it to see what people think..... if you have any comments - I love them - thanks.

What a funny (strange) theme this week. Last week I was completely stumped by the theme 'Tales and legends'. I think it was actually an abundance of ideas rather than a lack of them and hence I couldn't choose one. It could also have be the fact that I am in the midst of a big move and my 1 year old is constantly yelling 'ba, ba, ba' as loud as he possibly can and having fun unpacking everything that I pack...very helpful, anyway, EXCUSES, EXCUSES!! I hear you say, this week I have this drawing of a girl in a kind of a 'blanketty' skirt. Drawn by hand, scanned and then played around with in Photoshop.....Can't live without it!! (photoshop, that is).

When I found out that I was pregnant, I used to daydream that I would have a little girl and she would be the splitting image of me. I ended up having a boy who is a mini version of his father and no one believes that he is mine! The only proof I have is that I gave birth to him..... and his cute little ears (which are definately not his Dad's).

Here is my second entry for IF and - YES - I have had to put it on the same week as last, because I posted 'Hats' at exactly the moment that they changed the weekly theme. I couldn't have done that if I had tried! It was all a bit of a disaster, but this week I have managed to submit on time!!!

This is my not so subtle drawing of the 'Scale' theme, but HEY! what can I say, I am an Aussie and we are not exactly known for 'Beating around the Bush'!
